What a fantastic week we've had in Monkeys Class!

This week, we enjoyed reading The Heart and the Bottle by Oliver Jeffers. The story sparked some thoughtful discussions about emotions — what they look like, how they feel inside, and why we experience them. The children shared some wonderful ideas about times they've felt happy, sad, excited or worried, and we wrote about our own feelings and what causes them. It was lovely to see how openly and thoughtfully everyone expressed themselves.

In maths, we continued learning how to group amounts equally and were introduced to the idea of remainders. The children did a brilliant job exploring what happens when numbers don’t fit perfectly into groups — a tricky concept, but one they approached with great enthusiasm!

The highlight of the week was, of course, Sports Day on Friday! The Monkeys gave it their all in every race and activity, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. We are so proud of how they cheered each other on and celebrated everyone's efforts. Well done, Monkeys!
