Welcome to Lion Class blog.

What a brilliant week! This week we haven’t been in school that much because we have been away on a residential to The Frontier Centre. When we arrived we didn’t have activities straight away so we played some games (to start to get to know the Thurleigh children) and ate a packed lunch before getting in to our rooms. Making our beds was ‘interesting’ to say the least! Over the next 3 days we tried lots of new activities including zip wire, king swing, raft building, high ropes, archery and bushcraft. We found that we really had to work on our team work and communication skills in lots of the activities. Some of us also had to overcome our fear of heights! We had evening entertainment to keep us busy- games in the sports hall one night and a movie the other. We loved visiting the gift shop and buying EVEN MORE sweets! On Tuesday evening, Mrs Augustine, Mrs Morgan and Miss Augustine visited us to say hello and have dinner with us. The food was good and there was plenty of it, which was important as we needed to have lots of energy. Most of us slept well, although apparently there were a few midnight feasts going on.  Whilst we were away, we celebrated two birthdays- one from Thurleigh and one from Kymbrook.

We really enjoyed our time at The Frontier Centre and we wish we could go again.

We were all so sorry that one member of our class was not able to come away with us, due to an injury. We missed her and are sure she was sad too. We are looking forward to her getting back to school as soon as she can.

Next week we are getting back into normal lessons, lots of hard work and focus needed!
