Kymbrook Primary School

12th November 2021

This week in Forest School was all about having some choices!

There were choices of planting some bulbs around the edge of our beautiful field, with the hope that they are not eaten or stolen by the rabbits, they will start to wake up in February to show us the signs of spring starting, making an Autumn bracelet. Or crown and den building with tarpaulin and a special string. In all classes the planting of bulbs (tulips, crocuses, alliums and narcissuses) were the most popular so we have our fingers crossed that some of the 130 bulbs planted this week will show us a glimpse of spring later in the school year.

The creative activity was great too as always! We have so many creative people at Kymbrook, so the results were amazing as always! The dens were also great fun! Every single one was individual! Most groups were very independent requiring minimal adult support if at all.

The hour flew by each session as we were having some much fun! I am very much looking forward to the following weeks, when we are slowly going to introduce the children to some tool work in very small groups
