Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 9th September 2022

We are back to Forest School and we have a beautiful new structure we like to call Camp Kymbrook!

It has created a fabulous base for us to work and I am hoping that it will give us some protection from the elements as the weather begins to change.  It is fabulous to see all the children again after the holidays, my how much they have grown and meet the new little Monkeys. This week, Monkeys have been playing the famous "123..where are you? game to teach them our call back! They really enjoyed this! The other classes all came out and enjoyed being outside. We have slightly change things that there will be two adult led activities so that we can start teaching skills. This week was to make a mini den for a teddy in a small group- planning location, materials and decorating it or practice/learn how to do your laces with some fun templates. I am pleased to say a couple of children did manage to learn how to do their laces! These activities will be available for all the children till our half term break then we will introduce new skills to learn.

I have loved being back doing forest school and spending time with the children! Can't wait to see what they get up to next week.
