Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 11th June 2021

We have been working really hard in our Maths, revising money, remembering what each coin is worth and doing lots of clever counting.  We are going to be thinking about giving change next week so it’s going to be fun – ‘shopping!’

Over the past few weeks we have been learning about the beautiful embroidery art that is created by the artist Abigail Mill.  We have been looking at her seaside scenes and have really enjoyed creating our own beach hut pictures - choosing from a wide range of different fabrics.

Our beach huts are still “work in progress”– but we could not resist showing you some of our pictures so far…we still have some sewing to do and some important finishing touches!

We made Micro-Habitats!

As part of our study of Animals in Science, we carried out some research, with our chosen partner, about some of the living creatures we observed on the school field.  We then created a home for our favourite animal.  It was fun gathering all the twigs, leaves, buttercups, long grass and daisies to build micro-habitats.  The home is designed to provide for all of its survival needs.  We are looking forward to using the computer to annotate the photo.

 Bye for now!
