Kymbrook Primary School

Week beginning 13th July 2020

The Year 6 children are all in school this week, so this is just for our Year 5s. Please complete this transition booklet. The easiest way for me to see it is to photograph it and put it on Seesaw if you can.

Also Year 5, please have a think about which Year 6 responsibility you would like to apply for next year. Mrs Moore will talk to you once we are back about applying for the role and then we will interview you! So you could get slightly ahead of the game by having a think about which role would suit you and your skills.

If you fancy something different to the White Rose Maths, you could try this maths mystery I've added below. I think we've done these types of challenges before- they are good fun and you get to work on lots of different types of maths. See if you can work out who the banger burglar is (no cheating as the answers are at the back!) and let me know on Seesaw.

Remember also we discovered last week that lots of you were very hazy on telling the time- and that is being polite!! At Y5 and 6 you need to be able to read the time accurately (to the minute) in analogue and digital and also in 12 hour and 24 hour versions. The best way to do this is just to practise! The telly listings are a good place to look at 24 hour times. If you need to, please try and have a go at doing this over the summer- little and often is best.

And finally, I've attached some summer colouring sheets if you fancy being creative!

Have a wonderful summer, I'll see you all being well on September 7th as you start your Y6 year! :)
