Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 17th September

We have had a lovely week, doing lots of learning and of course, having lots of fun with our friends too.

Hello Everyone!

We are looking forward to Forest School every Monday afternoon now as we get to do some exciting things out on the field.  Last week we played a special version of the game “ Hide and Seek”  and this week we all made nature bracelets.

We have come to the end of our unit of English learning based on the Dear Zoo story by Rod Campbell.  We have written some fabulous letters to the zoo asking for them to send a variety of animals ranging from brown wildebeests to scaly pangolins (Mrs Morel has been amazed by some incredible knowledge of animals!)

We loved making our own “Lift the Flap books” too!

In Maths we have been learning how many tens and ones there are in numbers up to 50 and using lots of different objects to count with.  We have found out we can count large groups of objects if we put them into groups of tens and ones!

Every Tuesday, we have a visitor to school to help us read or just help us generally with anything we might need help with! He is called Rob and he comes from Bedford Rugby. It is great that he can spend an hour every Tuesday helping out!

That’s all for this week – we hope you like our blog!

Bye for now.

Love from Meerkats
