We have had a lovely week.  The children have been working very hard – especially in their reading, writing and Maths – ready for the special ‘quizzes week’… that are just a week away!

As part of our English learning, the school playground became a beach, a river/waterfall and a jungle.  Here are some of us exploring these environments activities from the story ‘Grandad’s Island’.

Using a photo of ourselves, we created some great self portraits

Then we used charcoal to draw each other – we only had fifteen minutes.   Look what amazing portraits we accomplished in just 15 minutes!

Mrs Morel is really impressed with our artwork!

We have also been having a wonderful time in our school garden.

We have loved it.  We have enjoyed a range of activities – such as reading in the tent or creating imaginary worlds from lego duplo or learning about capacity in the water.
