Phew- it is the end of another busy week!

In our topic work this week, we learnt a little bit about the significance of different styles of crowns worn by Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs and are now making our own magnificent coloured paper crowns to put on a photograph of our heads. They are not quite finished, but are already looking wonderful.

On Wednesday in PE, we led the younger children (in fact, the whole school!) in some dances. We had all chosen a dance video, had practised it over two lessons and then tried to encourage the other children to join in, motivating them to try their best. By the time we repeated our dance seven times, we were exhausted and hoping to never hear that song again!

Our PSHE unit this half term is all about money. So far we have learnt about being a critical consumer, knowing about financial risk and understanding what it means for items to be good value for money.

We are beginning to get into the swing of our Y6 jobs now that we have got to the end of the first cycle. We find office duty and leading achievement assembly the most nerve-wracking but we are beginning to feel slightly more confident when we do these jobs.  We know that it is good for us to be pushed out of our comfort zones!
