Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 3rd December 2021

This week in forest school we could all really feel the chill in the air of winter starting! The trees are much barer and the grass is litter with crunchy leaves.

This did not stop us! All children came out ready for action to participate with Den building, Nature art and for more children to try Whittling. Unfortunately, Ranger Carly was poorly with a cold so I was unable to get all children to have a go of whittling so we will now need to pick this up in the New Year. The Children who did have a go were excellent! Listened and followed instructions fantastically! In Loins a group of children did not use the tarporing for dens! They made it into a pond then had leaves as fish and other natural resources as parts of the pond! One boy even made a fishing rod to use with the pond from a stick, string and a leaf! I LOVED that they felt able to use their imaginations!

There is no Forest School next week due all the Christmas activities over the Federation but we will hopefully squeeze one more session before the Christmas break.
