Welcome to Kymbrook Primary School which is part of the Kymbrook and Thurleigh Federation. We are a small rural school situated in the idyllic village of Keysoe within easy reach of Bedford and surrounding villages of Bolnhurst, Colmworth, Great and Little Staughton.
Pupils travel in from a variety of locations including North Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Our modern facilities combine well with the original Victorian building and we are particularly fortunate in having a large playing field and large modern hall.
The school is maintained by the Local Authority and caters for the age range of 4-11 years with a Pre-School on site for children from 2 years old. Most of the pre-school pupils then transfer in to Reception. We can provide wrap around care via the Pre-School from 8am until 6:00pm, as required.
The Staff and Governors endeavour to provide the best education possible for each individual child’s needs and abilities.
We believe that the school is more than just the curriculum that we provide for your child. We ensure that our children have a safe, secure and happy time in school helping them to grow morally, spiritually, physically as well as academically.
The school enjoys good support from the community with visits from the local clergy.
There is an active group of parents who run the ‘Friends of Kymbrook’ committee who play an important part in the life of the school, both fundraising and developing the links with other parents
We are a Values Federation basing all our shared experiences, practices and behaviour systems firmly on a foundation of shared and understood values. Enjoyment: Enrichment: Excellence: Equality is central in all that we do.
