Kymbrook Primary School

KT Federation & Governance

Enrichment, Enjoyment, Excellence, Equality

The Kymbrook and Thurleigh Federation includes two rural schools in North Bedfordshire. Kymbrook Primary and Thurleigh Primary, which is located in the village of Thurleigh.

The Federation is led by one Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Moore, and the Governing Body oversees both schools.

The schools within the Federation work closely together including joint Staff Meetings and INSET days where expertise is shared. Both schools have a caring family atmosphere with a staff committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for the pupils in their care.

Where possible, pupils from both schools travel together to events including sports, music and creative arts activities.

Within the Federation, we ensure that our children have a safe, secure and happy time in school helping them to grow morally, spiritually, physically as well as academically. We celebrate the uniqueness of the individual, educating the whole child through a caring and nurturing environment.

New governors needed!
We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our new dynamic team of governors at the Federation of Kymbrook and Thurleigh Primary schools. Newly formed since September 2018, we are seeking additional new governors who have the enthusiasm and dedication to contribute to purposeful and effective strategic governance of our two schools. If you have the skills, time and drive to helping our schools be the best they can be, why not join us?
You don’t have to have any prior governor experience nor any knowledge of our education system as we will offer support and training. It’s a great way to volunteer and give something back to the school community.
