12.7.21 - 22.7.21

Oh, it certainly has been a bit of a different couple of weeks here in Monkeys! For our last two weeks, we have been seeing Mrs Collier most days on Zoom, where we have been having nice chats, singing some songs and practicing some maths work. It has been fine though – Mrs Miles and Mrs T have been looking after us the whole time and doing a great job as they always do!

We had one of our new Little Monkeys come to visit us on Monday 12th.  He was really nice. He played with us in our outdoor area for a while. We then went to watch the KS2 play: it was amazing! We sat through the whole performance really well and we enjoyed it so much. We thought that all of KS2 looked fabulous in their different costumes and they knew all their lines and songs brilliantly. We know all the teachers were very impressed.  Everybody kept on clapping at the end and Mrs Collier asked for another encore!!

In our final week, we had the puppet theatre ‘Widdershins’. It was very funny.  It was in two stories: ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’ and ‘The Gingerbread Man’. In the afternoon, we had a whole school picnic and a water fight! Some of the teachers (and us!!) got very wet!!!!!

On the final day, Mrs Collier came back into school and we didn’t do any lessons at all!! We had a play day all day. We can’t believe that it is the end of the school year. We have had such a super time in Monkeys and we are now SO excited about our summer holidays.  Yaaayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!
