Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 17th December 2021

We’ve had a VERY busy couple of weeks.

We went to year 5/6 to take part in their Fabulous Finish, which was a games fundraiser for War Child. We got to play lots of games, win prizes and we could buy things. It was great fun and the year 5/6s did a super job and raised lots of money.

We did the choir for the KS1 Nativity play. Everyone was great. The little ones looked so cute and they knew their lines well. We sang the songs to help and we sounded great too. Some of us stayed after school and had our tea at school. Our 3 Year 3/4 camel helpers were brilliant and really helped the little Monkeys know where to go in the performance.

Robotics Day was fun and we had to make robots with a programme. We had to make them dance. Some of us found it easy but some of us found it tricky.

Friday 10 December was Christmas jumper day to raise money for Save the Children and everyone took part and looked great in their festive jumpers.

On Christingle we had Reverend Tim and Geraldine come from the church to talk to us about Advent and Christingle. We lit advent candle Peace, Hope, Love, Joy and Light of the World, Jesus. We read the Christmas story to everyone and we did a fabulous job. We lit candles in our Christingles and sang ‘Away in a Manger’.

We have a new addition to our class now. George started with us on Tuesday.

Wednesday finished off our Topic of Rocks, Shocks, Shakes and Wild Weather with a Fab Finish. We watched The Croods, played the Caveman Dobble and painted rock pets. They were adorable. We had our last PE with Miss Leonard. Stocker won the most house points this half term and had an unhealthy snack day as their prize.

On Thursday, it was our Christmas Party. Everyone brought in lots of food…so much we had some left for Friday. We played lots of games like musical bumps, musical statues, find Rudolph’s nose, 6 geese a laying and 11 pipers piping. We watched the movie Nativity and Christmas Ice Age.

Our last day of term was Break the Rules Day. We wore our own clothes, got juice in our water bottles, tattoos, jewellery, nail varnish, hair dye and unhealthy snacks.

Have a very nice Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2022 for more exciting Zebras activities
