Another busy week!

We have settled very well after the Christmas holidays and we are all very focused on our learning and are determined to do as well as we can. Mrs Smith is extremely proud of us all.

Earlier in the week, we completed all of our assessments. We have been spending some time, reviewing these and making sure we all know the areas we need to work on most. We were all really pleased to see super progress being made since we last did our assessments in September.

We spent Friday morning doing some fabulous art work. Working in small groups we have drawn and painted some stunning Ancient Egyptian mummy cases. Great team work and respect, which are two of our school values. We will show you pictures when they are completed and up on display.

Just before Christmas, we received our first letters from our new French penpals. How exciting! We had written in French to them and they wrote back to us in English! We noticed that their handwriting was very different to ours and was really cursive and swirly. We hope to make more contact with our new penpals in the coming months.

That's it for this week. Please look back next Friday for more news from Lion class.
