In our first two weeks we have really been getting to grips with our new topic ‘Magnificent Dragons, Surprising Spells and Enchanted Forests’.

Last week, our main story was Goldilocks and The Three Bears – we made porridge! This was great to link in with our science topic – ‘Materials’, so we talked about how the porridge changed from a powder to a liquid once the milk had been added and how the liquid changed once it was heated. We also learnt about speech bubbles and we wrote what the characters were saying during the story.

This week, our story has been The Three Little Pigs. We have made our own story maps. They look amazing on display! We also talked about the different materials used for the little pigs houses and why the brick house would be the best.
