Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a lovely week, being very creative and hard-working in everything we do!

We are getting really quite good at multiplication; need to practise division and shall be learning about measurement next.

In English, we have become authors! We have used our imaginations this week to write our own stories based on our book front covers, that we did on “World Book Day”.  We are so proud of them and have really enjoyed drawing the pictures (the illustrations) to go with the text, just like in a real book.  They are being published by Mrs Morel.

In our Topic work, we have been learning about the environment around our school and how environments change through the seasons and also through time. We have been learning about how different it was for children growing up in the Victorian times and some children were using this knowledge as they played some role play games in Forest School this week! We will be learning much more about schools in the olden days in the next few weeks.

Red Nose Day was fantastic today.  Everybody seems to really like it – maybe it has something to do with all the delicious cakes that were so kindly donated…they were certainly very yummy!!  Thank you to everyone for your generous donations and contributing to this fundraising event.

We loved making our Mother’s Day cards today.  We are really pleased with them and hope you like them as much as how much fun we had making them.

We really do hope everyone has a very, very Happy Mother’s Day.

Love from the Meerkats. xxx
