Friday 28th May 2021

Here is your weekly news update from Lion class. Today is ‘Break the Rules’ day and we are loving breaking the rules! Our favourite rules to break are mufti, painted nails and treats at breaktime.

Over the last two Computing lessons, we have made our own computer games using Purple Mash. The games had to be maze style quest games, but we were able to customise to our own design. We loved making our games and playing the games designed by our friends.

In English, we have written some poetry based on an image called ‘Head of the World’. We had to use amazing imaginative description. Mrs Smith thinks our poems are fantastic.

Charanga is a new music resource which we have just purchased. Our class is working on a unit based on the pop song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams. We’ve had fun with some rhythm games and we are learning two singing parts and two glockenspiel parts. We are seeing the beginnings of potentially a world class boy band formed by some members of our class!

We have had a discussion this week about our new School Values, which are being introduced across the federation. We have talked about what they are and how we can show these values.

That’s it for this week- we are off to relax in the sun (we hope!). More news after half term.
