Welcome to Lion class weekly blog.

What a mixed bag of weather this week- it has been gloriously hot and sunny but now it is gloriously wet

In our computing lesson this week we have been learning a bit about 3D modelling, by designing both a house and a vehicle on a program called 2Design and Make on Purple Mash. We got to see our designs in both 3D and net form, print out our design and then we will cut them out to make actual models.

Two days this week have been ‘Science days’. We have learnt about reproduction in plants and animals and also classification of living things. We managed to cram in lots of learning into a short space of time!

On Wednesday, some members of our class had a meeting with two of our school Governors. They talked to them about our work on our school values and the vision for our school going forward. Mrs Smith was incredibly proud of how mature and sensible the children were during the meeting.

On Thursday breaktime, as part of Healthy Eating Week, we had a BIG CRUNCH! The children brought in a wonderful selection of fruits and vegetables which we were all able to taste. Lots of us tried new foods, including pomegranate, Indian mangoes, Jerusalem artichokes and dates. Thank you to all the parents and carers for donating the wonderful selection of foods.

Have a great week everyone- we are off to watch the footy!

COME ON ENGLAND (or Scotland if you prefer)!
