This week has been a short but busy week in Meerkats. We began lots of new topics this week to kick off the summer term, including Habitats in Science, building a boat in DT and the Seaside in History. In Maths, we began work on Fractions, slowly building from halves to quarters. In English, we covered descriptive writing and even informative writing following an episode of News-round, keeping ourselves up to date with current affairs. In Science, we looked at our prior knowledge of habitats and presented, in groups, different habitats from around the world.  We continue to enhance our phonics knowledge, looking at alternative sounds.
