To kick off the new term in style, we launched our stunning start with a super fun activity – designing and making our very own superhero underpants! The children were bursting with creativity as they chose colours, patterns and even added lightning bolts, stars, and capes to their fabulous designs.

We’ve also been busy writing about our superhero pants – thinking about the amazing powers they give us. From flying to super strength, the Monkeys have come up with some truly brilliant ideas and used wonderful describing words in their writing.

Our story this week was Charlie’s Superhero Underpants, which had us all giggling and guessing what might happen next. It’s been a great inspiration for our superhero-themed learning.

In Maths, we’ve been exploring 3D shapes and their properties. We’ve learned the names of some tricky shapes like cube, cylinder, sphere and cone, and had fun spotting them in the classroom and around the school. We’ve talked about their faces, edges and corners and even built our own 3D models.

What a super start to the term – we’re excited to see what adventures next week brings!
