Welcome back to our Zebra News

In maths, we have been doing column subtraction.  It is really easy for some of us but when you get the hang of it’s easier.  It is a brand new way of taking away in Year 3 and everyone has worked really hard to learn it.

We had an Olympic athlete visit our school named Peter Bakare.  He is 33 and 6 foot 5 inches tall. He went to the 2012 Olympics as part of the GB volleyball team.  He came in to our school to do lots of different exercises with us.  It was really tiring but fun.  He told us a story about his build up to being a famous person and inspired us to do our best always.  His coach told him that whenever he says ‘I can’t do this’ to say instead ‘I can’t do this YET!’

We had a Children in Need fundraiser on Friday.  We wore mufti and had a cake sale. We raised an amazing £185 for the charity.

We have a new boy called Louie in our class.  He is enjoying it so far and we are loving having him with us.

See you next time for more amazing news.
