Friday 21st May 2021

It's been a busy week this week.

On Tuesday, with Miss Young, we dissected flowers in science.  We cellotaped the parts to paper to make posters and then we labelled on the different things we could see.  We are also conducting an experiment with celery and food colouring.  We are waiting to see if the coloured water makes it's way up to the top of the celery, showing us how plants suck water up to help them live.

On Wednesday, we did a really fun P.E. of throwing and catching to practise for rounders games.

On Monday and Thursday we did more Roman topic work.  On Monday, we started to work together to do a Roman jigsaw puzzle.  Thursday, we started to do posters of Roman Gods as part of our independent tasks. For our independent task, we got to choose how we presented it and what we wrote.  There were 12 different Gods we had to choose from.  It was funny finding out who our sons, daughters, sisters and brothers were and how the Roman Gods were all related to each other.

On Friday, for P.E. we did some cricket and played hero and chicken.  We all love hero and chicken game as a warm up.  In the cricket match, both teams drew, so we had a happy class as no one had to lose.  The results were 72-72! One of our class even hit it so far, he hit the ball over the fence....it was an accident.  In French, we have learnt a new topic about all the things we have in a pencil case.  We also read the French version of the story of 'Little Red Riding Hood'.  It was good and we understood quite a lot of it.  We also practised our numbers playing 'Fizz Buzz' in French.

I hope you liked our blog.  Come back next week for more.
