Monkeys have had a marvellous couple of weeks!

We have been very busy learning all about winter – how we dress, what we eat and drink, activities that we can do and what happens to different animals in the wintertime. We have loved hearing about hibernation and how animals look after themselves during the cold season.

We are becoming good gymnasts and it has been great fun working on and around different apparatus.

During our maths sessions, Little Monkeys have been perfecting their number formation as well as counting objects and matching the correct numerals to the different sets. Big Monkeys have been counting on beaded number lines and highlighting key numbers such as 5,10,15,20 etc….

We had Movie Night on Thursday night- It was amazing! We wore our bedtime clothes and some of us wore slippers. We got to watch The Grinch with the rest of the school and we ate popcorn, hotdogs and we had juice. Thank you to our wonderful Mummies, Mrs Ball and Mrs Beard who stayed with us.

Friday was awesome. We made chocolate rice crispy cakes with chocolate sprout balls and Christmas pudding balls with Mrs Beard. We also decorated our own Christmas jigsaw, Christmas bedroom door handle card and we decorated our own angels, stars and tree and bell decorations. Wow! We were tired after all of that!!!

Oh, we are also very busy practising our much awaited Christmas performance!!!! How exciting………………..
