Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 9th June 2023

This Tuesday we were all so excited to start our swimming lessons. We were all gathered and waiting on the playground for the coach to arrive. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive as it had broken down on the Sharnbrook school run. By the time the bus company sent a replacement, it would have been too late and we had missed our swimming pool slot. So disappointing!

On Thursday, 8 of us went to an event called Quadkids at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium. We had to send 4 boys and 4 girls and they all competed in 4 events- 75m sprint, 600m run, vortex throw and standing long jump. We did brilliantly- we were thrilled that our top performing athlete came 4th out of 169 competitors. Overall, out of 20 teams, our little school came 4th, which we thought was EXCELLENT! Unfortunately only the top two teams get through to the county finals, so we just missed out on this.

Well done to all the pupils who attended this - you should be so proud of yourselves.

The children who stayed at school worked on a piece of work about the similarities and differences between Ancient Greek theatre and theatre now.
