This week we have started a new Daily Mile challenge. There were several challenges to pick from, but we have decided to aim to collectively run the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats, which is 1083 miles! We have made a chart so that we can track our progress. We know that if we run for 15 minutes, that is roughly 1 mile. This is a huge challenge for us, but we are confident we can reach the finish line before the summer holidays.

In our topic work we have researched Greek pots, to learn about their purpose, types, shapes, styles and decorations. Then we did some art work to design and paint our own versions. Do you like our display? We are pretty proud of our work.

Maths has been all about shape this week. We have been learning how to draw shapes really accurately using rulers and protractors (and sharp pencils!). The shapes we drew had to be perfect in terms of the lengths and angles- it was quite a challenge for many of us! J
