Over the last few weeks in Forest School the season has changed to spring with flowers and trees beginning to wake up!

The air is starting to feel warmer and there is less rain. All the children are becoming more confident with the tools and with the Forest School ethos. Some have been using our bow saw to saw 'biscuits' to decorate how they pleased. We had such a variety of decorations which is fantastic as with forest school its learner led. Some made medals for their families, some made then look like an Easter egg, some faces and one child even made theirs look like a kiwi! We have also been working in small groups for children to do the Kelly Kettle.

This is a big challenge as a fire is made in the bottom and then we have to feed the fire enough but not too much to keep it going until the water boils! Sometimes this took longer than expected, but our efforts were rewarded as once the water boiled the group were able to enjoy a hot chocolate! Coming up in a couple of weeks it will World Bee Day when we will have added activities available if the children would like to do.
