Friday 17th November 2023

It's been another busy week here in Y5 and 6!

We finished our science work about 'Light' by having a Knowledge Organiser quiz and making some amazing front covers.

Tuesday was our usual Forest School day. Some of the children made a massive den, others went in the mud and played a striding game.

It has been Anti-bullying week this week. In our PSHE lesson on Tuesday we explored when 'banter' becomes bullying.

In our Wednesday PE lesson, we worked on our gymnastics routines. They are nearly finished.

On Thursday, we explored the role of women in World War Two. We were given different jobs such as munitions factory workers, ARP wardens, Land Army and WVS. We had to learn about our job and then present the key points to the rest of the class. We had such a good discussion about the roles women played in the war.

Friday has been Children in Need day. This year, we wore PJs or comfy clothes and we had a delicious cake sale this afternoon. I am sure we will have raised lots of money for this charity. We were all excited when a fire engine arrived just at the end of break time today! It had come to visit the Y1 and 2 children.

We hope you have enjoyed reading our blog.
