Kymbrook Primary School

Friday 29th September 2023

We have had such a busy start to the new school year. Sorry that this is our first blog!

Our new topic for this term is World War Two. So far, we are really enjoying it. In the second week of school, we had a fantastic residential for 3 days and 2 nights at the Frontier Centre. We went with Year 5 and 6 from Thurleigh too.

We did raft building, high ropes, archery and bushcraft, as well as team dynamics and walk the plank. We had an amazing time there.

On Thursday of this week, we had our Robotics workshops, which we do each term. This time, we were given the task of building walking robots. As well as being a brilliant computing challenge, it is also a lot of fun!

We have been working on a new independent activity, which is all about whether evacuation in WWII was necessary. Some children are making leaflets, some PowerPoints others are designing posters. One or two are even designing models.

Next week is our Harvest Festival, so we have things to organise before then. It would be great to see you if you are able to come.
